Daily & Weekly Cleaning
A dust mop plus a damp microfiber pass is all your floor needs to stay showroom-clean.
- 1Dust mop or soft-bristle sweep to lift loose grit and pet hair.
- 2Damp-mop with warm water and a few drops of pH-neutral floor cleaner.
- 3Wipe dry with a clean microfiber for a spot-free, glossy finish.
Do
- Use pH-neutral cleaners (dish soap works in a pinch).
- Rinse mops well between passes.
- Place walk-off mats at entry doors.
Don't
- Never use bleach, ammonia, or citrus-based cleaners.
- No steel wool, wire brushes, or abrasive pads.
- Skip vinegar — the acid dulls the topcoat over time.
Spill Response — Oil, Wine, Chemicals
The topcoat is non-porous — most spills clean up like they're on glass, as long as you wipe promptly.
- 1Blot immediately with a paper towel or clean cloth.
- 2For oil or grease: dish soap and warm water on a soft cloth.
- 3For sticky residue: isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber, then rinse.
- 4Dry the area to keep it slip-safe.
Do
- Address spills within a few minutes when possible.
- Test any new cleaner in a hidden corner first.
- Use warm (not hot) water.
Don't
- Don't let brake fluid, battery acid, or paint stripper sit — wipe now.
- Avoid scraping stuck material with metal.
- No pressure washers indoors.
Topcoat Renewal
A fresh sealer coat restores full gloss and adds another cycle of abrasion protection — no re-flake needed.
- 1Deep-clean and fully dry the floor (24 hours minimum).
- 2Lightly scuff-sand with a 220-grit screen if we recommend it.
- 3Cut in edges, then roll one thin coat of Reflective topcoat.
- 4Keep off for 24 hours; light use at 48 hours; full cure at 7 days.
Do
- Book us — every install includes discounted renewal pricing.
- Ventilate the space and keep it between 60–85°F.
- Store the leftover kit in a cool, dry spot for touch-ups.
Don't
- Don't apply over a wet or greasy floor — adhesion will fail.
- Skip if temps are below 55°F or above 90°F.
- Never mix polyurethane and epoxy topcoats.
Seasonal & Winter Care
Rock salt and de-icers can leave a chalky film. A quick rinse each week keeps the topcoat crystal-clear.
- 1Rinse tracked-in salt with warm water once a week during snow season.
- 2Squeegee standing water toward the garage door.
- 3Follow with the damp microfiber pass from the weekly routine.
- 4In spring, do one full deep-clean before storing winter mats.
Do
- Use rubber-backed mats under wet tires.
- Park vehicles on a foam mat during heavy salt weeks.
- Address white salt haze while it's fresh.
Don't
- Don't leave standing salt water for days.
- No calcium-chloride de-icers stored on the floor.
- Skip hot-tire treatments — our topcoat already handles that.
